CARING HEARTS OF CHESAPEAKE HARBOUR
No child in our community should go without the basics.
We’re a local nonprofit that puts seasonal clothing, hygiene products, toys, school uniforms and supplies, straight into the hands of children who need them. No overhead. Just neighbors showing up for neighbors.
THE NEED
More than 10,000 children in Anne Arundel County are growing up in poverty, in one of the wealthiest counties in America.
Here, need hides in plain sight. In a county where rent is rising faster than anywhere in Maryland, a working family’s paycheck disappears into the cost of keeping a roof overhead, and a winter coat becomes a luxury.
Caring Hearts steps into that gap: delivering the coat that fits, the right uniform, the shoes for the first day of school, the favorite toy, and the warm blanket that makes the room feel a little safer.
WHAT WE DO
Real help, delivered by hand.
The schools, caseworkers and community centers who work with these kids tell us exactly what’s needed, right down to a child’s size, favorite color and the toy they asked for by name. Then we go get it.
OUR STORY
Neighbors taking care of neighbors.
Caring Hearts started with a simple conviction: the child two neighborhoods over shouldn’t go cold because their family hit a hard year. We’re a small, all-volunteer board, and we work hand in hand with the people who know these kids best.
They point us to the need. We fill it. There’s no waiting list and no red tape between a donation and a warm coat on a real kid’s back.

It doesn’t take much to change a kid’s whole year.
A single gift can mean a warm coat, a pair of boots and a good night’s sleep for a child right here in Anne Arundel County.
